Always goes bad when I order lights

and if you never confirm the order?  You have no worries with Ray. I had some strips that the silicone tube cracked/split after a year. I sent him pictures not expecting anything but he sent 3 new replacement rolls.

 he never sent me a quote just put it out on his site.  He has a spot for quotes in the middle of his product listing.

Just placed my first (small) order with him. I didn't ask, but he sent me the link to pay via Ali. I see it's giving him 12 days to ship.

The mistake people make is looking at the cost on Aliexpress to buy a quantity of 1.  If load up a big order you end up with pretty much the same discount as the quote you are going to get from Ray.  Everyone says they save on shipping but when anyone actually lists what they ordered and the cost I've gone on and modeled it and got the same or better price.  So quit being cheapskates tying up Ray's time trying to save $5 on shipping.  There are advantages of ordering via Aliexpress.  One is that Ray will ship to you earlier because the order can time out if he doesn't.  I also like to be able to look back at my order history which is saved on the website.

Ok a quick follow-up
   So when I ordered my lights Aliexpress canceled my order. They wanted proof of me. they wanted a copy of my license, CC, and CC statement. I filled out the form explaining how pissed I was as I have been ordering from them/Ray for 3 years now and no way in hell I would sent them that Information. The form could not be sent with out a pix in the boxes. I used pix of my x-mas display. After I Sent it I closed my account. This morning I get an e-mail saying they were able to validate my transaction and now can start placing orders. What a scam if pictures of my house was good enough. 

  As for the discount its not for many items for the same as aliexpress figures that. Its when you have many single items  One, one and one. My order would have been 100.00 in difference.

Yes I have sent a very detailed e-mail going over all that had happened to me. Thats when he sent an seperate invoice away from Aliexpress. then he went on saying he is also having Issues getting paid by Aliexpress. There are issues on both sides of the coin.

I would e-mail Ray with what you just told us and get his response. You seem to really be off in the weeds with this process. I only used Ali on the first order with Ray back at least 6 years ago and have been direct ever since.

Just for your information, I emailed Ray this morning with an order, he has already responded and has been paid via paypal. No problems, I expect to have what I ordered by next week latest. I don't use Ali.

So for $12 more I could order immediately without talking to Ray and have a nice itemized order history, pressure on Ray to ship to with a deadline, and he doesn't get paid till he makes good on delivery.  I'm all for saving money but it's gotta be worth my time.  When I want to order I don't want to wait for someone to respond to an email and then worry that he copied my email down correctly.  It's like special ordering at Burger King.  When you deviate from the menu that's when problems happen.  By the way your prices add up to $303.00 not $330.00 so if the cost was really $408 then that would be a difference worth considering.

I made a comment earlier about ordering direct from Ray using PayPal and had something else i wanted to throw into the discussion. Since day one, i have always ordered my pixel strings with pigtails attached and those weren't available in Ray's Ali store until roughly a year ago. I have never understood the desire to waste time soldering your own pigtails to save what amounts to usually around 40 cents per string...  i also tend to order a good amount of custom spaced products from Ray for some reason. I guess I'm particular (aka difficult).
