Crash received when click on check sequence v56
« on: January 05, 2017, 10:19:10 PM »
I had just setup some new models (North poles) and I wanted to use the check sequence to make sure I hadn't created any problems in the layout.   When I clicked on the "check sequence" button I got a crash.   I attached the debug report to this post.   I was running v56 on a W10 laptop.   I reopened xlights after which I haven't received any further crashes.

It looks to me like the model was deleted from the layout but still existed in the sequence which caused the crash. I will implement a fix to prevent the crash but you will have likely been prompted to delete or remap the model the next time you opened the sequence.

I may have caused that---I renamed a bunch of models in the layout along with adding North pole models.
Thanks Keith.

But when you rename we should be fixing it everywhere its used so probably still somewhere else in the code that something needs fixin.

I think the exact thing I did was that I had a sequence open I was working on; I decided to add and rename several props in the layout tab, then I navigated from the layout tab to the check sequence button and I got the crash.   ...in case any of that stuff matters...

I agree Gil. Just a bit preoccupied to work out the proper fix right now.

I wasn't asking you to do the work just wanted the users to still let us know how to recreate the situation.
