The Florida Animated Light Display Facebook group (formerly Planet Christmas Florida) announced their annual mini-conference to be held in Orlando on Saturday February 25th. This group of lighting enthusiasts gather once a year to discuss the latest techniques & technology in holiday lighting displays. It’s a time to fraternize and learn from the best.
This year’s conference draws not only talent from within Florida but also some of the hobby’s leaders and innovators. Among the number of presenters, will be Dave Pitts the designer of Falcon Controllers, who will be discussing his new Falcon F16v3. James Hohensee, owner of Boscoyo Studios, the creator of the pixel strips and numerous other coro and pixel props. Keith “Christmas”, the most recent addition to the Xlights development team; and Tom BetGeorge a 2015 participant on The Great Christmas Light Fight and whose exciting Star Wars and most recent Harry Potter displays have garnered over 10 million YouTube views.
This year’s conference will take place at the First Baptist Church of Longwood just outside of Orlando. Price of admission is $25 per person. Lunch will be provided. This event isn’t limited to the residents of Florida, so if you’re interested please contact myself or request to join the Florida Animated Light Displays Facebook group.
