Matrix type pros and cons
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:24:07 PM »
I've been toying with the idea of putting a matrix in one of my windows attached to the frame that I already have made to go around the window. I already picked up 2 - inch on center chroma mat. Before I dive into this I thought I would ask if anybody had had done this with any regrets. I know there's other options like P10 panels but the closest anybody's going to be to this is forty or fifty feet away. 27 pixels High 29 pixels wide.

i have p10 panels 4x3 and a 20str x 75pix ink 1003 , works well from 50-100 feet away, text and effcts are fine , gifs and video work but a little blocky.
if doing again would look at 60 led /m to increase the resolution and to move strings closer together (currently 30mm or 1.2 inches apart.
Hope this helps a little

My matrix is not square, but has 886 pixels (103 more pixels than you intend).  I plan on moving to p10's next season. my matrix is about 25' from the curb.
