I agree with you that multiple people working together allows people to focus on their individual talents.
Plus let's face it, sequencing using xlights is pretty simple. The hard part is coming up with new and interesting ideas for a sequence.
I have imported numerous sequences that I have both purchased and found in free sequences. And I have always made substantial changes to those sequences once I imported them.
For one I changed them because I use spokes on the ID of my leaping arches that no one else seems to have in their set-ups, and it is hard to find a model from someone else's sequence that will look proper when imported on them.
But 2, seeing other people's work inspires me. I will see ways to make improvements, like in Logan's Star Wars Funk I changed the light saber's at the beginning to look like actual light sabers, not just a red and green line. And then sometimes I will feed off something in some one else's work and come up with a new variation.
So I am a huge fan of collaborations. So that being said , we probably should come up with a common set-up to sequence from. This way we could work on the same sequence easier. I know someone else mentioned this already, and I agree that it's a great idea.
With a common set-up we could also use collaboration tools like git hub. How do we feel about learning git?
