trouble with excel

for some reason while trying to build my whole house model, excel will not let me auto fill in ascending order going up the page. I tried entering the first to ascending numbers and pull the box to highlight, instead of filling the correct numbers, it puts all the lowest number in the boxes. if I go to flash fill in series, it will insert the numbers in descending order going up the page. I need them to be in ascending order. first time using excel so not sure what I am doing wrong.

i figured it out. i wasn't highlighting both numbers before i tried to drag the box up. all is working fine.
