New to Xlights - Problem with Channels
« on: March 17, 2017, 06:48:37 PM »
Hi I am moving from LOR to Xlights this year.  I have been working on recreating my props in Xlights and assigning channels and universes.  It seems when I select a universe as in this example "35" it mutiplies the number and I get a larger number of channels in this case 17490.

All I am trying to do is create arches.  Assign them to universe 35 with a start channel of 1 for the first and 300 for the second.  What am I doning wrong?

Well 35 times 512 is 17,920 so that's in the ballpark of what a raw channel number would be if you have that many universes defined.  The number you are seeing is the absolute xLights channel number.  If you want the prop to start on the first channel of universe 35 then use the notation #35:1.  It will still show the higher absolute number in some spots.
