pixel decoder for ray wu lights?
« on: March 24, 2017, 11:18:52 AM »
Hi All,

I got my 12v 2811 strings from Ray Wu that I'll be using with my falcon f16v3 that I have pre-ordered.  I am looking to try some different arch setups and just want to get the pixels to light up for now so that I can test the basic setup and see how they look.  I have an all LOR setup currently so I have no way to control the nodes at this time.  Is there an inexpensive decoder or tester that I could plug into a standard wall outlet and then connect the 2811 strings to in order to make sure all nodes work and to see how they would look in different installation settings?

Are you looking for something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/SP105E-Magic-Controller-2048-Pixels-Support-IOS-Android-OS-APP-ws2812b-ws2811-/231994752542?hash=item3603f6fe1e:g:TmkAAOSwuzRXcxuP
or this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/LED-Controller-For-Test-WS2812B-WS2811-WS2812-Pixel-LED-Strip-Light-3-Key-Mini-Controller/1546672626.html

You will still need a power supply in either unit. I know you can also find them on ebay and amazon.

THANKS!  Those look like what I need.  I was trying to find one with its own power supply, but actually found a 12v supply I had.
