Where does exlights save your Modles and Setup

Hello All,

I am using two computers to run Xlights.

My main computer inside my house to do the sequencing and setup and then a computer in my workshop to run the show.

What I need to do is save my house and models on the main computer to transfer to the other machine.

I can find the sequence data and the like, but not the main models and house pic that pops up on start up?

I think its called the preview layout?

Can any one help?

The xlights_networks.xml and xlights_rgbeffects.xml files have what you need but you could just use package sequence on the tools menu and xlights will pack everything in a neat zip file. Most people however just copy the ehole show directory via something like dropbox.

So I tried that. The zip file but now I am unsure how to open it on the new computer?

Sorry computers are not a strong point

You need to extract everything from the zip file.

Open it like you open a program.  Double-click the file.  There should be an option in the toolbar to "Extract all files".  The dialog should let you select the destination directory for where the files will be unzipped.

ok, but what directory should I then use?  Probably sounds like a very dumb question? but better to ask than screw it all up!

Create a new directory anywhere you like.
