Is there a proper format to map channels and universe's?
« on: April 30, 2017, 06:11:17 AM »
Using  xlights 2016.51. I am the process of using straight line tool to outline roof, eaves etc. The first universe assignments were perfect. After the first channel of universe 2 on the same controller, it shows being mapped to universe 3 and correspondingly higher channel number. I have tried various modifications to the way universe and channels are assigned. I am using a alpha pix 4 for testing purposes and am  aware of the channel increments of 510 per universe.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If I had to guess you don't have the start channel set to 1 where it starts for universe 2.  You probably have something like 511 so it's adding that to universe 2 and then offsetting to the start of universe 3.  If you are not using the absolute numbering then you need to put the start channel at 1 for the start of each universe.
