Schedule Starting Web Server Error
« on: July 14, 2017, 09:05:14 AM »
Just finished a couple of sequences and I decided to get familiar with the Xlights Schedule. Every time I open it up I get "Error Starting Web Server. You May Already Have A Program Listening on Port 80".  Being fairly new to Xlights and not a big techie is there a simple fix for this. All my E1.31 controllers are being sent out on multicast format. Any suggestions would be great.

Go into settings and change the 80 to 81. Note this error breaks the web interface but will not interfere with light output.

It does mean to get to the web ui you now need to add :81 to the address ... so http://127.0.0.1 becomes http://127.0.0.1:81

Keith I was wondering were do I change the address, do I do it in settings, the box where I changed it to '81' seems to be cut off, at the bottom of the box where "Password" input is is cut off.  I tried to expand the box but no luck.

Thank you

It is in settings. Not sure what you mean when you say it is cut off. Image?

I took a screenshot for you and as you can see the bottom area looks cutoff.

Also in settings at "Force Local IP" it won't allow me to add the :81 to the IP address. Is this necessary for Xlight to run from my network Router to my controllers.

Thank you again

Did you try resizing the dialog?

Sorry Keith but I am a little lost on your suggestion about resizing the dialog, not sure where I would do that. By the way ever own a Holden car, my plant in Canada use to build the engines for them and ship them to Australia.

Tried that and still no luck, it won't allow me to resize by the corner. I tried all 4 corners and it won't grab it to expand.

I'm sure the value is saved in one of the XML files so if it were me I'd just open up and look for it and get the thing running without waiting days for help.

I always use the ctrl key and the + or - keys to resize the display in web pages.

The dialog will be resizable in .21.
