Chroma Pole Layout
« on: July 25, 2017, 08:31:05 AM »
I did a few searches for Chroma Poles (I think thats what we are calling them ) used to be called  Belagio poles but didn't find anything. I wanted to see how people are modeling them. I was thinking just single line for as many as I wanted per pole, lets say 5 strands for an 8 Foot pole so 25 nodes per strand. I wanted to do 25 up then 25 down much like I do my Bosoyo large trees.  Can I model them the same way,  total nodes and total strands?

My chroma poles are using boscoyo pixel strip and are 8ft tall. I do use 2" spacing so I get 46 nodes per strip. I actually use 92 node strings so 46 up then 46 down for 6 total strips. It uses 3 outputs on my f16v2 as I dont want to have to use any power injection.

in Xlights I have this modeled as a vertical matrix with 3 strings of 92 nodes with strands/string = 2

btw I always order my strings from Ray Wu as custom lengths which is determined by the needs of the element. These strings are 3" spacing between square pixels.

Thanks Neil...I'd like to do something similar to replace the LED LOR Belagio poles.
Appreciate all the info...
