Hide Row.
« on: July 28, 2017, 08:27:03 PM »
Is there a possibility of adding a "Hide Row" function,

Currently when you click on the model, the stand opens, click that then the node opens, So when trying to sequence at node level on separate models it becomes some what confusing to try and keep track of where to place the next effect, especially if you are jumping the effects back on forward on different models.

Also, then new AC function looks great, I think it should work great on my 2 channel trees and 10 channel arches that use modified old style LEDs.

I know why you want this cause I've thought the same thing.  Like Keith's new block of channels model in most cases you don't want to see the top level model row.  Knowing the code this could be a big impact to implement because right now models do have a hidden property but it hides all children rows when you hide the master row.  There is a bunch of logic regarding visible rows versus total rows that isn't an easy jigsaw puzzle to figure out.

I certainly don't profess to understand the complexity's of coding, it was just a thought.  Nice to know the we have the same thoughts though.

(The new AC light control may be of benefit to me anyway and a may well be able redesign the model to achieve what I desire anyway. As I sit here thinking about it I could make it a 10 channel straight line model, that might actually work.)

On of the really great things I have found in xlights is that there is usually two or three ways of achieving what you want!
