preview issues
« on: July 30, 2017, 09:26:28 PM »
I have x lights set up in two computers, my show computer is operating properly. ( its a 64 bit ) I also have x lights in my regular computer ( 32 bit ) in t my regular computer the model preview and the house preview is VERY dim. It is dim in the layout page. I cannot see the props in the screens. Is there a way to brighten the props in the views. Note I use this set in the regular computer for working with models and effects as I can connect with the internet for help as necessary then use the info in the show to duplicate the effect . So how can I increase the brightness of the models?

The models should be a bright yellow.  Maybe its a graphics card issue on that machine.  You can try lowering the OpenGL to 2.x in settings and restart.  Can't change the brightness but you can change colors in the color manager but if that yellow doesn't look bright I suspect something else going on.  You said one computer looks fine.  We don't do anything different so its something with the machine causing the problem.

Yes on the layout screen when you've selected a model it should be yellow and if it's not then you may need a new graphics card as Gil mentioned. I might add also, check the brightness levels on your monitor.

Something makes me think that the value curves that you have set for brightness may be turned down. That would affect what you see in the model & house screen during playback . On the layout screen does the model have Gamma set at to 1.0 & brightness to 0?

Something else you can try is in appearance settings, increase pixel size and pixels are not transparent.
