I'm trying to do something that was very easy in another sequencer because we had direct control over the parts, and also could do different groupings against the same items.
I have several Chromabulbs from James' Boscoyo Studios. What I need is to just show the outer pixels of the "bulb" and the screw section (bottom of bulb on the standing, top of bulb on the hanging version.)
Every attempt that I have made to do this, then apply wide area affects has resulted in not only seeing the bulbs and bases, but ALL of the different facial features.
Any help in this area would be appreciated.
Edit:
OK, I think I have a start on it.
1. Create the original models with all parts.
2. Copy that model to the layout.
3. Go into "sub-models" for the model in question.
4. Create a sub-model for the parts that you want separate.
Do the same for all models that you wish to only use a part of.
Create a group to hold all the sub models you wish to use.
Assign all the sub-models that you want to this new group.
In the sequencer, apply effects to the group as needed.
