Easier selection of multiple effects

Whenever I'm working with a grouping of effects and I want to select them with the mouse, I can only select the effects if I can grab them from beyond either the start or finish of the effect. This makes selecting a grouping of effects more difficult if they directly adjoin other effects. As a result I often have to select them individually while holding control / command to select them as a group. It would be much easier if selecting a grouping of effects could be done from the inside of the effect start and end times.
