Imported Lyric Timing Tracks out of sync
« on: September 29, 2017, 11:38:55 PM »
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed imported lyric timing tracks are often out of sync. The words start later then the actual singing. This occurs even when the exact same song is used.

Would there be another reason for this occurring?

Anyway, I've worked out a simple fix if you are importing someone elses lyric timing tracks and they out of sync by a set amount. Posted on this thread http://nutcracker123.com/forum/index.php?topic=3856.0 as a follow up to someone who had this issue.

not specifically a bug, wasn't sure of best topic to post in
I know just enough to be dangerous :0

The imports occur at the exact timing where the effects were created.  Now if someone created them with a 25ms sequence and you import them into a 50ms sequence they will get shifted to align with the nearest 50ms marks.  Maybe that's what's happening but there no bugs with the lyric imports.  Lyrics are nothing special they are just effects.  Everything on the entire sequencer grid is all the exact same Effect class, effects, timings, lyrics, all the same.

Gil is onto something here.  I noticed that some lyric tracks I was trying were out of sync until I went back to the original and found that either my version or theirs was at a higher rate.  As soon as I made sure that the rates were the same, the differences went away.
