Sequence check error message a problem ??
« on: October 13, 2017, 08:26:19 AM »
Question please -  Is this error sequence check snip a major problem for me :-

Quote
Models spanning controllers
WARN: Model 'Matrix' starts on controller 'Matrix Controller 1 - Strings 1 - 4' with IP '192.168.200.120' but ends on a controller '192.168.200.160' with IP 'Matrix Controller 5 - Strings 17 - 20'.
WARN: Model 'Tree-2' starts on controller 'Mega Tree Controller 1 - Strings 1 - 3' with IP '192.168.200.50' but ends on a controller '192.168.200.110' with IP 'Mega Tree Controller 8 - Strings 19 - 21'.

The reason for asking is I plan to have  7 x ESP8266 Rensticks on my Mega tree, each driving three strings of 225 Pixels, and hopefully 5 x ESP8266 Rensticks driving four strings of 200 Pixels on my matrix so there will be multiple controllers involved.

Observations for the uninitiated  :-(

Terry

It says "WARN" which means it may be an error but only the user can determine.  We don't know if you plan to run those models from multiple controllers.  Its usual to use 2 controllers to run 1 model so we flag it as a warning.  If you are doing it by design ignore the warning.

Thanks Gill, that was what I suspected so thanks for the explanation and confirmation, now moving forward  :-)

Cheers,
