Bad LOR Data On Conversion
« on: October 20, 2017, 08:08:47 AM »
I have converted 15 files and of this 15 one keeps getting bad data some how. If you look at strand 16 thats where the bad data starts. I have just tried to issue an "OFF" command and it only takes part of the data away. I can read the xml file I just don't know what or where to delete it so any help would be much appreciated!!

I did have a Mega tree in my LOR but it was not RGB so on the conversion I did NOT map those channels they were blanks

I'm also attaching my xml file. Im living town for 2 days so it might take a bit to get back to whoever my reply but I will get back with you.

Thank in advance for the help

Courtney

Chances are that the bad data is coming from the Lor file.
Import the channel lineup from one of the good Lor files to the one that's acting up then try converting it again.

We need your xlights_rgbeffects.xml file to look at your sequence.

Sorry took so long to reply.. I figured the same made a new LOR sequence by copy and pasting my LOR Data and used that to build a new Xlights sequence and I even double checked my mapping and channels in LOR and I still get the erroneous data on the mega tree

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

When I open up a show directory with your files first thing is an error where xLights cannot calculate start channels for 2 of your models.  That needs to be fixed first.  Also run Check Sequence and make sure all those channel overlaps are intentional and check all other errors and warnings.

Gilrock, Cleaned it up a bit but still getting Errors like Models spanning controllers. Along with this the tree is not matching up with what is in Xlights. I have gone into FPP and have the channels mapped the same as in Xlights and Have rendered the sequences and still no Joy so I assume the Models spanning controllers with the following waring has something to do with it.

Models spanning controllers
WARN: Model 'Arches' is not configured for a controller.
WARN: Model 'Tree' starts on controller 'Mega Tree 1' but ends at channel 13113 which is not on a controller.

Here is my my setup.. All Controllers are on Unicast and they are on Individual start channels with the Universe and Xlights start channels per setup is selected for each string. When using test in either Xlights of FPP everything works fine is just running Sequences that noting come out as shown in the Lights preview so Im sure its a channel issue. As for m y Alpha Pix controllers I attached a screen shot of how the universes are set up.

I have 2 Alphapix 16 controllers to run 32 strings with 65 RGB Nodes per string @ 195 channels for the Mega Tree. This starts at universe 1 channel 511 to universe 32 Channel Start of 6361.

1 Alpha Pix 4 to run 4 Arches with 37 RGB nodes @ 111 Channels starting channel for this is 6751 Universe 33 to Universe 35 Start channel of 6973

1 E1.31 sCAN on Universe 50 for the LOR

Thanks Again for any help with this

First of all you generally should not need to set start channels on a string by string basis. It's not a problem just generally not necessary. The second problem here is how you have specified them. The number after the last colon is the channel number within that universe not the absolute channel number. Generally it should be 1. Like it is on the alpha pix screen.

Thanks Keith,
So your saying i should just have it like 192.168.0.50:1 ?
I had 192.168.0.50:1:1 and did not work. Got better results when I matched the channels to Xlights.

Thanks 🙏

No. I would do #1:1. The ip is only needed if multiple controllers use the same universe.
