Ok... If i have a strand of 50pixles and I want to keep node #17 #18 #19 ....#48 #49 &#50 off all the time is there a way to do this?  Im sure there is but i couldn't find any youtube vids on it.

I'd like to know what you are building and why nodes need to be blanked out.  Why can't you just cut nodes off?  Or just wrap electrical tape around them.

Sounds like you need to set null pixels in your controller.

No clue what video you saw on YouTube, so no clue if that’s what I was thinking.

+1 on what Gil is suggesting.

One side effect of blanking on the controller is that any effects in xlights will still utilize the nodes, they just won't "blink". So depending on the prop this might be noticeable if you are doing chases, for example. Take the time to do it right.

A custom model can just skip those numbers as well.    Again it all depends on the use case/prop and how you want the effects to play out
