P10 panel setup
« on: December 21, 2017, 10:23:08 AM »
Hello everyone,
I hope your shows are going well.

I have been working on a 3x2 p10 panel setup for a new Tune To sign.

After fighting some hardware issues, I now have a working sign, but something is wrong with my setup and i am looking for some help.
I have attached my setup.

My issue is that with the marquee effect to scroll text the matrix is split in 1/2 down the middle and shows the same thing on both sides.
Any help will be appreciated.

Mike.

That looks right. What does your LED Panels screen look like?

It looks like you modeled a 2x3 instead of a 3x2.  Right now you have 64 horizontal by 48 vertical but a 3x2 would be 96 horizontal by 32 vertical.  So if we could see a picture of the actual panel it would help in telling you how to setup.

Thanks for the responses.  I needed time to go get some photos.
my matrix is 3 panels in height by 2 wide so If I have it modeled incorrectly please explain.

hopefully these pictures will help.

Here is a link to how it is working!

That just looks like you have the "P1" and "P2"'s mixed up in the FPP config.

Normal convention is to specify width by height so I'd call yours a 2x3 panel.  When you setup the panels on the FPP the arrows are supposed to be how it looks from the front not the back.
