I don't think I've seen any videos, but I think the basics are pretty straight-forward:  just like you connect your FM transmitter to your master Pi, you would also use the video-output from that Pi (either HDMI or composite).

However, if you also want to be able to control the projector (I guess to just turn on/off)--that's not something I've done.

I'm not looking to turn it on and off its more where you put the video files and how the are triggered by the sequences. is it as easy as on the pi use the same name play list and grab the video file instead of music plus the sequence file. anything special needed in the sequence file?

I used a Pi and turned a tv into a virtual matrix using the hdmi out of the Pi. Added the tv into xlights and it worked great.

Yeah, nothing more to it. Just schedule the mp4 file instead of the mp3 in the playlist.  Maybe check the FPP settings (“enable HDMI output”, or something basic like that).

Well I have a new Pi3 coming Saturday. Ill set that up and give it a shot this weekend. Yes I'm starting a few days earlier than last year. Last year was the day after new years. the goal is block off the garage overhead door, put in a window with a projector in the garage. It helps that I work at a window and door company.  I have a similar setup for Halloween at the front door.
