Multiple Layouts for comparison
« on: January 04, 2018, 05:07:10 PM »
So next year I want to change my layout and switch to lights.  What I'd like is to be able to compare from several different layout options.  I'm having trouble figuring out how to save multiple layouts at a time to be able to switch back and forth to see where I want things positioned, which props I might add or subtract, etc... Not to mention my neighbor wants me to set up his yard, but first things first...

Is that possible?  Or should I just reposition the models each time I want to change the look and just try and get them back into the same place if I didn't like the new look?

Copy your show directory and then start XLights twice and point one at each. Just be careful to note which you are using next time you start XLights.

Thanks!  I never thought of running multiple instances.
