Square Pixel Install
« on: March 14, 2018, 03:13:50 PM »
Hopefully you seasoned pixel pushers can help. Is there an easy way to snap square pixels into the Boscoyo Monster Matrix panel? I've got 3560 left to go and my fingertips are already numb. Thanks.

Cheers

I don't have a monster matrix panel, but on my matrices made from fencing material and also even the Boscoyo mounting strips I have two 1x2 that are screwed together with a scrap piece of 1x2 between the ends for spacing.  It seems to make it much easier to puch pixels thru both types of material.  I just keep moving the jig over as I finish each column / row.

boscoyo 'column' panel which I think is very similar - I used gloves which helped
found a few holes that I just could not get pixel into, even with help from a 3d printed pixel pusher, ended up reaming holes out slightly - be very careful though
others have suggested leaving the panels out in the sun so they go a bit soft, haven't tried that though.
I know just enough to be dangerous :0

Thanks for the ideas. I managed to get 504 pixels done today. I'll get the other 3024 done by Christmas. I like your jig J.  8)
