Display Elements Order
« on: April 10, 2018, 10:26:16 AM »
I'm trying to find information in the manual or the forums about the order of display elements while in the sequence tab.

I know how to goto display elements and order them, dragging or using the up down buttons. But every time I make a new sequence, it goes back to some other default order.

How can I make a new sequence and keep the order that I set in previous sequences ?
Grateful for the support,
Michael

In the Display Elements window create a new "View".  Then add all your models to that view and order them the way you want.  Then whenever you create a new sequence there is a dropdown box in one of the pages of the new sequence wizard that will let you select any View you've created in addition to the options of creating a sequence with no models ('Empty') or All Models.  The problem is the list you keep reordering is the sequence local model list.  Views are global across all sequences in the show directory.

Does the sequence render in the order of the selected view?

No. It renders using the master view.
