exporting nutcracker effects to .vir
« on: November 17, 2014, 08:26:14 PM »
I have made some successful attempts of converting .vix sequence to .xseq, and adding nutcracker effects to it and then exporting that to .vir file.

Was all that necessary to get nutcracker effects exported to a .vir file.

I was wondering if I made some nutcracker effects without converting a .vix to a .xseq,  and export the effects to a .vir file and then place that into the vixen Routine loader plugin and finally add it to the vixen sequence.
Would it work?

if you just want nutcracker effects back into vixen, you do NOT need to import a vix file.

1) Make sure SETUP has some channels defined
2) Create models and attach to a new sequence
3) Add nutcracker effects
4) Export Model (Not "Export") to a vir file
5) Paste into vixen

I appreciate all the help you have given me.

Nutcracker effects is all I know how to do at the moment using your pre-defined effects.  I was able to create some n/c effects and paste them into a few vixen sequences by going the way of converting a .vix to a .sxeq and, adding effects and exporting that to a .vir file.

The effects don't flash with the music beat. I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

I have the pixel mega tree finished and working.

Maybe next year I can work on N/C to .vir per your instructions and make Pixels flash to music beat as well.

I haven't finished laying out all the Renard driven stuff yet and making sure it works for this Christmas show.  But I have accomplished a great deal so far.
