"chase" effect over models?
« on: May 24, 2018, 02:50:54 PM »
Hello,

I have a question about an effect I'm trying to do but can't seem to find the right combo or method to do it.  I have 4 arches in a row and I would like to have a fade/chase on effect for the row of arches.  In other words, arch one fades in and stays on, then to make it look smooth and not "clunky or jumpy" a soft smooth fade in where two comes on and stays on, then three and then 4 so basically it fades in from left to right per arch.  When I try certain effects like bars, single strand or curtain to the model group, it somewhat does it, but more on a pixel chase level than a "whole arch" level.  I'd like to have each arch treated as one light basically and fade in from 1 to 4.  Any ideas on how to go about this?  Thanks for any help.

Go into Layer Settings and play with Render Style.   I'm guessing "Horizontal Per Model" will do what you want but there are several options to try.  One of them should achieve the look you want.
