Duplicate effect on another prop
« on: June 11, 2018, 09:56:34 AM »
I feel like I am asking simple questions that I should be able to find somewhere and not have to bother with a post here...so...
first off, tell me where to look!
I searched for "duplicate" and for "clone" and found nothing that helped.
I have an effect on an RGB prop and want to place that same effect for the time length of time with the same exact settings on another RGB prop. I tried Copy/Paste but couldn't seem to make it work --- I don't see it anywhere in a menu.
Can it be done?
Where should I look for these sorts of things when I don't find them in a search here on the forum?

Yeah I think you have the high maintenance user of 2018 competition all wrapped up.  Select the effect and hit control-c, click where you want it then control-v.  Do the same selections but use the right-click menu.

Have you been to xlights.org and looked at the videos and user manual?

I have been there - but so far the search hasn't produced answers to my questions.....but I'll keep trying.
I di not try Cmd-C and Cmd-V but used it in the Edit menu and nothing happened - did it several times - but, of course, I just went back and tried it again and it worked just like I'd expect.
Sorry to have bothered you!
