So I'm almost sold on the idea of putting my 48 panel P10 INSIDE my windows this year and not having to weatherproof it. The problem I'm having is that the window is 3 separate panes so I'd have to have 3 separate 2x8 sets of panels. I can wire them all up as one big panel in xLights and in FPP no problem...
However, I want to be able to put my singing faces on each of the three panels separately as though they were separate P10 panels since the window panes cause a gap. IE panel 1,2,3. But when I want general effects I want it to act like one big P10 panel.
I thought I could just define the submodels of panel 1,2,3 but when I do that I can't place a face on the submodel. I can place effects on each submodel just not a face...? I think this would be by far the easiest solution, but I can't figure out why the face won't play on a submodel. Unless it has to do with how we assign the face to the matrix in the layout tab...? Maybe I need to select nodes instead of matrix...?
So, the other option I see is to go the other way and make 3 separate P10 matrix to display faces and then somehow group the individual matrix (1,2,3) and have the presets play on the grouped matrix? And if so can I keep it wired as one big panel from one beaglebone as long as I figure out which channels map to which panel...?
I have a second window I'm considering doing the same with but it is only 2 panes instead of 3... So I'm trying to find the right solution before I mess up both windows and end up redoing them the right way...
