Dubbing music into drone vid

I have dug around a bit and haven't really found anything on this topic.   I thought I remembered a post from sometime last year that was kind of a "how to" use a drone to video your display--I am wondering how people dub their music into drone vids.   Do you put "light markers" of some type into each song so you know where to start the song?   Or is it easier than I am thinking it is, perhaps just using a bit of trial & error with Apple's video app or similar app???  I bit the bullet this year and got a drone that I will use to vid my display this year.    Thanks in advance!

This is not a drone problem.  The problem exists in most videos.  This is one of the reasons I never post videos as getting the dubbed music to line up seems to take forever and then I just give up.  I even have a camera that captures the sound via the radio with an audio in jack, but that quality still is bad compared to the original audio that I would like to dub in.  Sigh.

I import the original song file into my video editor and just adjusted where it starts. It takes time to get it lined up but I figure I’m not knocking out a movie block buster. Over time you will develop a way that suits you.

I use windows movie maker to add the music to my videos, I dub in the same mp3 as I used for the sequencing. at first it took a little time now I can hit it quickly.

As for the drone this year I just picked up a DJI standard 3 4K The quality of the 4K camera is unreal. I did some shooting at night, the pix looked like I was filming during the day. All the camera settings are adjustable in flight. It also has where you can pre set points for it to fly to. Its one of the easiest drones I have ever flown.....

I am on my second drone from DJI, now a Phantom 4. They are amazing! I haven't synched a lights show to a video..... yet only because I haven't had an animated light show to video but that will change this year. This is my first year with the blinky lights. But on past experience with Drone cinematography I have had great success with AVS4You in syncing up other videos with sound and it wasn't difficult to get thinks to sync up. AVS4you has some other great tools as well and I don't know what it costs now, but it was well worth what I paid for it. I have taken several videos and synched it to a recording that was made on the ground at the same time and it was pretty simple. Another thing you might want to look at is a program called Litchi (https://flylitchi.com/) If you want a nice smooth video, this program is the way to go. You set up a mission in a web browser where you design every aspect about the flight and then you just start the mission with the push of a button and the entire flight is conducted without you doing a thing and everything is smooth.
