Separate Features in a Sequence
« on: November 20, 2014, 07:00:05 PM »
When using the auto sequencer can you do individual elements  then piece it together for the whole sequence. I have two pixel trees with 75 pixels each. Every thing else I have is standard LED lighting running through a E1.31 bridge to my Renard controllers.

You should probably review last nights tutorial where near the end Sean talked about that.
What I would do is start with the first model you want to sequence.  Then protect all the rows for that model once you are happy with it.
Now add another element to the sequence, but do not remove the first element.  Now create random effects for that element and when you are happy with it protect all the rows for that element.  Keep adding elements until you are done and then save the sequence.

Be aware that if you have the first element in another element like a whole house model only the effects in the farthest column to the right will be saved as xlights saves the sequence right to left order.  With 3.6.5 you can now shift the order of your columns which is great.

I had posted a question about my letitgo song. Sean recommended using the merge script to this.
