Question about 3D advising of update on mac

Should 3D version of xLights on the mac be advising of the updated version of the normal xlights?? Currently have 3D 2018.27D installed and its advising of 2018.29 on start up.

The safest thing is ignore automatic update warnings when working with beta releases.  Just install beta versions manually and then you always know what you are running.

Yeah we are not going to write a whole bunch of code to deal with a relatively rare occurrence of running a beta in parallel with the main release. If you qualify to run the beta then this is something you should be able to deal with.
