Cant get show folder to sync up on a Mac

I have a mac book pro, have been running my LOR on bootcamp and windows.  All my LOR files saved on the windows portioned part of the hard drive.  I am trying to setup for the first time on my MAC side, but when I try and select show folder from the Windows hard drive it gives me this error.

can't open file '/Volumes/Windows/Users/Eric Meyer/Documents/Light-O-Rama/Sequences/xlights_rgbeffects.xbkp' (error 30: Read-only file system)

not sure if I need to copy all the files onto a flash drive and paste them in a folder on the mac side?

Is it normal to expect to be able to read and write to files on the Windows partition while running the MacOS?

no idea, first time trying. and BTW can't read the dumb captcha stuff had to enter the letters like 40 times before i got it right.. and wouldn't play the audio either

I don't think its going to work.  That error doesn't come from xLights code.  Maybe from a 3rd party library we use like wxWidgets.  If you had "MAC" in the title it might attract the attention of our MAC experts.  I just work on xLights I don't run this website and don't even know anything about that captcha except I hear it goes away after your first 3 or 5 newbie posts.
