Combining two controllers
« on: September 30, 2018, 05:39:29 PM »
Hello. Just needing a little help here. I have to AlphaPix 16 channel controllers. I am trying to combine them on my network. I currently have 7 channels connected on one controller- setup 1 through 7 with the IP address (192.168.0.50) that came with the controller. My second controller I starter at 17-32 and changed the IP address to 192.168.0.60. However, when I go to xlights and do testing, different universes are crossing over between controllers for my groups. I am probably not expressing myself very clear. When I put an effect in lets say "window" on controller one, it is showing up somehow on my effects for "roof line" which is on controller #2. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Show the setup pages from both controllers, the xLights setup, and the properties for a model that's not working.  You should have different universes setup in each controller and then you gotta map where in that universe range each output starts.

I don't think I am setting something up correctly on a matrix I was creating. I am trying to create a 6
Modular Matrix Panels to go in front of my house columns. Each panel has 140 nodes which I divided into 2 universes 70 nodes each (210 pixels). I would like for all the lights to start at the bottom of the panel and work up on different effects (similar to an equalizer). No matter what I do in xlights settings, I am not able to achieve this. I am not sure about the strings, strands of strings and so forth. Any help would be appreciated.
