E1.31 to DMX Bridge

I have one of those E1.31 (sACN) to DMX Interface boxes shown in Clyde's video on running LOR hardware from Xlights. I have two hopefully easy noob questions.

1. The front panel labels the outputs as Universe 1, Universe 2, etc. Are those literal? Can I run  as U301, U302, etc. Or do I have to actually set up my models as U1, U2, etc.

2. How do I find out what IP address this is running if its always in multicast? Clyde had a sticker on his with the IP address on it.  How did he get that or set it? Or do I even need to know that at all?

i am struggeling to find the easiest way how to start a dmx signal or lets say a lamp during a video show. We want to run a movie and on time 0:32 sec for example a light must fade in.

What is the best way to achieve that?
