Need to change from custom Boscoyo Bethlehem star to five point star

I have searched the xlights manual and the forum and did not find any guidance on this one....   After discussing with my wife, we decided to use 3 five point Boscoyo stars on three trees that are side-by-side instead of 2 five point stars and one Bethlehem star.   I don't really see how to change the star from its current Bethlehem star custom model to a five point star model.   Will I need to delete it from one sequence and reinstall it as a five point, then re-render the rest of the sequences??   Thanks in advance.

You can add your 5 point star and then right click on it and choose to "replace a model with this model" Then you will select which model you are replacing. then you can delete the old model. If you are using reference numbering, make sure that your models don't overlap and that the number of lights in the stars didn't put you into a universe that either didn't exist or that you allocated for another model.

Thanks so much PopoRacer!    Worked like a champ.   I have my props setup using absolute start channels and I anticipate having some overlap that I will take care of sometime soon.   I really appreciate the help!

That is true, but I thought I would take a look at changing so at Expo I started trying to figure out changing and last month I did change everything to universe and start channel.  I figure I can always go back to absolute.  I still do not feel comfortable with all these universes flying all over.  The real test will be when I begin setting up my controllers.  LOL

I forget what type of controllers you have but just make sure you switch the Falcon to Universe/Channel mode and it should be easy.

My dediication to absolute addresing came because I have never made what I call major changes to my display that would cause a need to adjust channels.  I started with pixelnet and 4096 channel universes and mostly things on the house and a mega tree.  Then added more stuff to the yard and just added more channels to the end (eg, another pixelnet universe).  then added some stuff in the side yard and added more channels to the end.  Then added P10 and window matrices - added more channels to the end.  BUT now.....I am finally making some major upgrades to stuff that is in the lower channel numbers.  adding pixel icicles, a couple of spinners, growing my mega tree 25% and voila need major channel adjustment.

this thread has also reminded me that although I have put universe and start channel in my Christmas layout that I need to go do the same for my Halloween layout.
sigh.  It never ends.

Gil, last year I had 10 controllers all with a Pi (well, 1 BBB) running in remote.  My controllers are, F8. F16v1, F16v2b, F16v2r, F16v3(2), Falcon PiCap (2), Harrison PiHat and a BBB.  Might be adding another PiCap or 2 assuming I get everything built in time, else next year.
