Need Help with setup
« on: November 23, 2014, 06:24:21 PM »
Here is a list of the hardware I have. 4 LOR 16 channel units, RS485 USB, San Devices E6804, 1350 RGB pixel tree. Software LOR 3.11.2 Advance and Nutcracker 3.6.5. I really want to run everything through Nutcracker but I do want to have a backup so I need to be able to run it through LOR as well. I setup NC  to run the pixel tree and works great. When I tried to add usb LOR with 64 channels none of the LOR channels work just the Pixel tree. When I export the pixel tree to LOR only the LOR channels work. Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to setup both? I have included both NC and LOR screen shots of each setup.
Thanks
Rick

In xLights setup, I seem to remember that the LOR/USB dongle should be the first entry. You can move it with the green arrows.

Rick a couple of questions for you, you say you tried to run everything through xlights, did you convert your Lor seq to an xseq? Jon has already mentioned about getting your Lor stuff in the xlights set up to the top remember to save it. let me know.

Yes I have converted my LOR to Xseq. I moved the LOR USB to the top and the LOR Controllers are working! Now everything is working. Is there a way to make my opening sequence and closing sequence only run at the beginning and end of the show like in LOR. After that I'm ready for the year. Once again thank you for the help everyone.

if you are using the xlights show player, you can mark a song in your playlist as only running once at the beginning.
and another to run once at the end.

in the schedule window you would clik repeat and also indicate that first and last songs in your playlist would only be played once.

Thank you I'm so excited that everything is running together. Now I would love for this wind to stop. 25 to 30 mph with gust up to 55 mph. Usually the house blocks most of the wind but it is coming out of south. Once again thank you all for the help.

Sean maybe you can help with my next problem. I just installed FPP newest version. It works with the LOR controllers but I can't get my SanDevices E6804. Here are screen shots  of both FPP Setup and SanDevices.

Do you really have 450 pixels on one output of the 6804?

This is how I was told to set it up. But I have power injection through out the tree.

Now the problem I have is that the first 64 RGB Channels on the tree won't work. What do I need to change?

It works with the NC test tab and the SanDevice web test, but not FPP?

It doesn't work in NC. I haven't even started with FPP.  I just want NC to work first. Here is what the NC Setup is now.
