Kind of a newbie here also. But maybe this will help...If you just want to get rid of the timing lines, click the radio button on the left side of the timing track name to turn the lines on and off. The timing track line itself will still be present, but the timing marks will go away.If you want to totally remove the timing track... You can just right-click on the timing track name and delete it.
I don't think you can remove or hide a timing track on the Master View. If you make another view, however, you should be able to add or remove any of the timing tracks that you want to.
I think I looked at it once because there was a request to be able to right-click and hide a timing track. I remember finding that the eyeball hiding wasn't working. I thought changing it would be easy but I remember it turned out to be a pain because so much logic works based on the number of timing tracks because you have to skip over them to get to the model rows. In the end I was ready to just rewrite the entire sequencer grid code base since it has become somewhat of a mess over the years. We really made it difficult by supporting too many options mainly the ability to have the same model appear several times on the grid.
I have a few sequences with multiple lyric track that take up a lot of Real Estate. It would be nice if xlights would remember the collapse position of the lyric track when you opened the sequence.
