Making a Copy of a Sequnce
« on: December 11, 2018, 04:20:22 PM »
Is there any way to make a copy of a sequence (my own)? I want to make a copy, then change the E131 address to the controllers.  One for use with FPP & one for use with my computer.

Package the sequence and then extract it elsewhere on the computer.

I packaged the sequence, but I'm not sure where I need to save it?  This is probably a redundant question, but when I open the copy it would still be opened by Xlights?  I would be changing the controllers IP address to work with FPP on the copy.  Can I do that without it changing the IP addresses in the original sequence?

Do you understand directory structures on the computer?  Not sure how to help till we know where to start.  Basically xLights points to a show folder (directory on the computer).  You can unzip that packaged sequence to a different directory on the computer wherever you like.  Then in xLights switch the show folder to that new directory.  You can switch xLights back and forth between those 2 show folders whenever you want to run the other one.
