Outlining a house
« on: December 16, 2018, 01:13:34 PM »
Hi
I thought that I have seen a video on how to outline a house in using xlights but I can't seem to remember where that video was.  Can someone point me to a good video on how to start mapping out the lights in xlights, I have measured my house, put the dimensions on the image, and imported it into xlights....now what?
In addition, I was wondering what is a good spacing between nodes for outlining, using nodes not strip.  My house would be approx. 20-30 from the road, and is a small house.
thanks in advance.

I use Boscroyo strips to hold my lights and use every other hole. that would be 2' on center.
here is a video on poly lines its in part way

Oh yes, I am not trying to do anything for this year.  I just started down this path.
Thanks for the video but it is dealing more with models.  Is there something more basic out there for outlining?  That's probably all I am looking at for next year.  Im sure I saw a video on it (I have seen some many), just can't remember where.
