Models not showing up on sequence tab
« on: January 26, 2019, 08:40:02 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm totally new to this. I'm playing with xlights and learning how to populate models on the layout tab then going to the sequence tab and setting the lights to sequences. I've played around with it enough that I'm ready to do a layout that I believe I want for my home, I have deleted all the models I don't want and added models I would like to have; unfortunately the new models are not showing up in the sequence tab. I tried re-rendering but it didn't do anything. what am i doing wrong? Is there a way to do a reset to delete all models and just start over?

Thanks in advance for your help and advise

br,
Jason

You are in full control over which models show up in the Sequence.  It doesn't automatically force every sequence to contain every model from the layout and we are kinda stuck with the way it works because people started using the same show folder for both Christmas and Halloween.

So when creating a new sequence there is a dropdown where you selected whether you want the model list to be empty, all models, or you pick a view you've saved.  It defaults to All Models so you should be getting them all if you create a new sequence.  Once a sequence is created just right-click a model name on the left and choose Edit Display Elements.  Then you drag and drop what you want and you can create and manage multiple views etc.

Thanks! That did the trick.
