How to model arches in a line?
« on: April 01, 2019, 10:41:30 AM »
I have a project I'm working on for my kids school gala.  I am making arches over the enterance to the gala.  There are three arches that people walk under and the arches are in a straight line.  When I am placing the effects in xlights, the arches are side by side so some effects don't render quite right.  How can I properly model arches in a line?  Currently I have to place each effect on each arch.  When I place the effect on the group, the effect models as the arches are next to each other.  I know this is probably a simple fix but I just can't come up with anything at the moment.  I am on the latest version of xlights BTW.

Create three independent arches. Put them in a group. The. You can try some of the different render buffer styles.

My Arch group setup has the default layout mode set as "single line" in the layout tab.
This makes all the effects that are dropped on the group treat the Arches as if they were one straight line hooked up end for end.
You can also do this under layer settings /render Style like Keith suggested.
