Is there a way to clip effects across many channels?
« on: April 18, 2019, 12:38:04 AM »
I imported a sequence from HLS and ran the "Check Sequence" tool, it reported a huge list of "WARN: Effect On ends at 3:01.300 after the sequence end 3:01.266. Model: 'Sign/Strand 1Strand 1/Node 248' Start: 3:01.050" at least a hundred examples of this. Is there a quick way to have xLights cut off or clip these extended tails of effects? In HLS I would group select all of the channels with the lasso and select the last second of my sequence except for the last time slice and then select "Clip right side of selection". I'm hoping xLights has a similar feature.

It’s only a warning. You can ignore it

Yeah we allow effects to extend past the end they just get automatically truncated when creating the data file.  If you want to get rid of the warning it sounds like you could just edit the sequence duration and manually type in 3:01.300.  Nobody will notice the extra 34 milliseconds.
