How do I apply effects from the top in 3D
« on: April 20, 2019, 09:52:41 PM »
I have my 24 single strand models sticking out in all directions from a center hub.  The 24 models are grouped into "ALL".  I need to apply the effects to the top of "ALL", not from the side.  I've read the manual, looked at videos, tried all the PerPreview stuff, created new previews in Layout mode.  Everything I can try.  Help! ??

Can you be more specific ?
I’ve created the preview in 3D layout and tried to apply it in the sequence without success. I still see the side view.

From within the layout tab move your layout in 3D to the position that you want things to render from such as the top view.
Right click the layout and select save current view point and give it a name then save your work.
Now Within the sequencing tab you should be able to select a effect and drop it into your grid, and from the layer settings box set your render Style as "per preview" and then you will have options in the camera window to select your previously named view point.

You could just watch the 3D xEssentials video I did.

I don't even know who manages that.   I don't have any access.
