Are you checking the drop down?  Even without an audio track, there should be options for 50 ms, 100 ms, metronome, and empty.

So I dont think it is a vamp problem

Can I suggest you try a different audio file ... it is quite possible that is the issue as I dont see any vamp related errors.

Yep looks like its working.  What I can't figure out is why I don't have any of those Vamp debug lines in my logs.

deplanche :  yes i check the drop down every time and i only get 50 ms not 100ms metronome and empty.

Kieth: tried 3 other audio files they all respond the same way

Gil:  still don't have a path to them when i run set in cmd prompt all it shows is xlights and the log says path to vamp not set.
do i not need that path established?

I'm not an expert on whether you need VAMP_PATH set or not but logical troubleshooting would be to just try setting it.  Like Keith said there are plenty of pages on the net to tell you how to set environment variables.
