Hey folks! I've got a weirdly specific use-case that I could use some help with. I'm trying to model a tree, but it isn't strung like the native Tree model in xLights. To simulate the physical tree, I've been arranging singular Arches models in progressively larger circles in 3D, as this roughly approximates the way the branches of the tree are strung.
What I'd like to be able to do is to arrange models in 3D around a central point, to create more-perfect circles. Doing it by hand is time consuming, and as I built out models for bigger and bigger trees, we'll be getting into more than 70 arches per layer; a little unwieldy to handle.
To visualize what I'm talking about,
this image shows individual Arches lined up in 2D; this could be done with a single Arches model in a straight line, by adjusting the Arches count setting, but then those are locked together in a straight, 2D line.
This image shows a rough estimation of the end result I'm trying to achieve.
Is there another way, besides doing it by hand, to arrange models around a central point in 3D?
