combining models
« on: September 26, 2019, 03:35:44 PM »
I'm building a small "mega" tree in the typical style that I'm putting on top of a drum base.

The drum will be wrapped in an up and down pattern that I can program as a matrix

I'd like to be able to combine these as one model group so that some of the time they can be working as one item, but I can't seem to find a good way to do this.  Ideally, I could adjust the size of the top of a mega tree model to be the same as the base and set it up for the drum, but I don't see any way to adjust the top vs bottom size of a mega tree.

Am I just missing something, or is there a better way to do this?
Thanks for your input
-Philip

There is a tree bottom to top ratio setting.

Sorry for the stupid follow up question...

The drum is made up of 4 strings of lights (96 pixels each) that go up and down and up and down as they go around the drum.  It's 12 pixels high with a total 32 vertical sections of lights.

Does this seem about right to get this set up?  .....

Looks right. Just remember the first pixel will be at the middle back.
