« on: November 08, 2019, 09:42:57 AM »
The Effect assist used to work great.
But, now here is what happens.
Open effect assist get photo 1
Click on any control then this happens photo 2
What am I doing wrong?

I don't see a problem when I try it out so you would need to provide a Package Sequence from the older version that worked great and it would be nice to tell us what version that was.

My fault I knew I should have sent the packaged zip.
I updated to the latest ver of xLights this am and here it is.
the computer I'm on now does not have any of the older visions when I thought Effect Assist was working ok.
Hope this sheds any light on the problem.
I can use Photoshop but it is not as nice and clean as the Effect assist to clean up a few pixels.

thanks,

Can you make sure the images are actually being found?  I'm not seeing any of the image files in the packaged sequence.

Darn I don't know whey they are not there.
They are there when I click on the Picture Icon effect in the sequence.
I'm now convinced it is NOT a xLights issue, its how I made the picture files.
I created them as Transparent in Photoshop as a .png file.
Then pointed the Picture effect to then in a folder.
I will try and figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Sorry to take up your time.
Just don't know whey the Program Zip does not see them.
No more for you to do at this time.
But for grins I put one of the Picture effects .png file into the same folder as the .XML file and attached the Zip.
again, thanks I have more work to do here.

Just open that zip file yourself and see there are no JPG files.  Usually they will show up in a lost folder in the zip file if not in the show folder.  Maybe there is a setting in xLights that determines whether we include those picture resources when packaging sequences.

Transparent PNGs should work just fine.

If you have time check the file out I have attached and see what happens.
The picture files locations are in the .CSV files in the zip but that's it?

Tools>package log files
here is the Tools>package sequence and it does have the Pictures.
ops

And do you know if photos are auto resized for xLights when used with the picture effect?
These photos are mostly way to big for my 16x50 mega trees.
again, thanks for the help
