« on: November 17, 2019, 07:45:15 AM »

You probably have something already on the controller on Ports 17 to 32 (or 48), which isn't allowing the controller to upload because there aren't enough channels available.  It won't remove things that are set up there manually.  Post a screenshot of your controller string ports and we can show where that would be.

here are the screen shots... i might have just noticed the problem not sure.  i guess my arches expand across universe 115 and 116, and i have a spot light on 116:1, not sure though.

my arches are ribbons, 25 nodes, 3 pixels per node.

should i do the upload channel config or just go in and manually enter models to ports on the falcon itself?

i just deleted the network info and redid it, then checked the model info and it's still showing up like the above pictured.

In xlights, go to Tools/View Logs.  I think it will give you information on which port the problem is on.  I can't see anything wrong looking on here quickly, but hard to see all the different ones and some settings are missing.

Its easier if you just tell the model which controller its on and then set the port.

Expansion boards dont expand the controller they split it. So you can exceed 1024 when you take the max of 1-16 and the max of 17-whatever..

In your case you have 765? as the max on 1-16 and then 800 as the max on 17- .. which is way more than 1024.

Move that 800 back to the main board and move some smaller-ish ones to the expansion.
With 800 on ANY port you are limited to 224ish on the other board.

I can't see the controller connection settings for any of the arches.  Also curious about those for the mega tree.  But it's hard to view the screenshots on here too, so the log files would be better.

Where are you seeing something on Port 17?  I agree that is a problem, but I didn't see anything on an expansion port, but could be missing it.

i don't have an expansion board, on a F16v3.

i don't have an "optimized" set up this year.  basically i want the different models on their own ports (roof 1 = port 1, roof 2 = port 2, etc).  i have all my mini trees on port 7 daisy chained together (85 pixels per tree).  i have 3 vertical walls on on port 6 daisy chained (30 pixels each).

my arches are 25 pixels each and i want them daisy chained on port 12, but for some reason it puts arch 1 on port 12, the other 3 arches appear to be unassigned.  the arches are ribbons 3 pixels per node i believe is the proper definition.

my mega tree is 800 pixels (1 string, 16 strands of 50 nodes).  can i not put that on one port?  i thought the falcon allowed 1024 pixels per port??

when i output to lights from my laptop, everything plays except arches 2,3,4.  that is my problem i need solve.

Your Visualize Controller Screenshot shows Arch1 on Pixel Port 13 so its not on 12 so I'm not following what the problem is.

Your Falcon screenshot doesn't even match xLights so we have no clue if you've properly uploaded it.  You need to do a package log files and just post the zip file.

you are correct... it was on 13 in the picture.  i moved it to 12 and tried to rearrange things to see if it helped but it did not.  my current set up looks the same as attached except i moved them to 12 just to see what happens

Did you push the E.131 configuration before you pushed the output config?  The channels to the right all show Undefined which seems wrong.  Its normal for the Arch 2, 3, and 4 to show like that its a virtual string setup its just the pixel count looks wrong.
