Upload to FPP not succesful
« on: November 27, 2019, 03:17:45 PM »
I have created a sequence in XLights and want to upload this to my PIs.
On an old version (I think FPP 1.8) it is succesful but on the FPP 2.4 ones it is not succeeding.

I am uploading via Xlights which works as I tried several simpler sequences already.
I think it is about the size of the sequence, I already brought it back to minimal channels, but still it is 9 minutes and 20.000 channels resulting in about 500 MB fseq files.

Is my assumption about the size correct, and if so, what to do?
- upgrade the FPP version?
- split the sequence in parts (but how?)

thanks
Denie

In case others have the same problem, upgrading to the newest FPP version solved the problem

Do to the network traffic FPP was causing on my home network I created a subnet and put FPP on the subnet now  when I try to upload from xlights it seems to find the FPP but when I hit upload it acts like it is doing it but the files don't get there. Is there something I have to setup different when FPP is on a different subnet? I amd running version 3.3 of FPP

If you are using the new xLights V2 format for your FSEQ files, I doubt you will see many 500mb files.
But - your Pi FPP software does need to be fairly up to date to play V2 files.
